Course
AR2U088 Research and Design Methodology for Urbanism. MSc Urbanism, Quarter 3, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft.
Led by
Two chairs of the Department of Urbanism share the course. Roberto Rocco teaches for the chair of Spatial Planning and Strategy; Thomas Verbeek and Geertje Slingerland teach for the chair of Urban Studies. Thomas and Geertje are the newest members of the team, and they bring the perspective of Urban Studies to the course.
Nested in
The Q3 Research and Design studio AR2U086 Spatial Strategies for the Global Metropolis, coordinated by Verena Balz and Alexander Wandl. The studio sets the regional design task; this course gives each group the research methods and theory that the task depends on.
Developed with
Roberto Rocco has built the course over many years: first with Machiel van Dorst, then with Egbert Stolk, Marcin Dąbrowski and Juliana Gonçalves. Remon Rooij and Lei Qu also contributed to its development.
